After setting up the Aquarium for a while, at the beginning all looked great: the water was clear, deco and plants looked great. And then this white stuff appeared on driftwood, you might wonder: what the heck are they anyway?
Well, it turned out they are some kind of fungus or beneficial bacteria. And they are not harmful to your fish at all.
Of course, this doesn’t look good, so you have a couple of options:
+ Take the driftwood out and properly cure it by boiling it in hot water for some of hours
+ Clean the driftwood manually (this white stuff might come back)
+ Let nature solve the problem on its own. (mean you don’t do anything, just let it there for some weeks, they will eventually disappear)
+ Do regular water change to keep water condition in control
